I recently received my complimentary copy of the new 'Hollywood Rocks' boxed set from Cleopatra/Deadline Records, but have not yet taken it out of the
shrink wrap.
I am proud to be a part of this project, and glad that my contributions to this genre & era are being documented and recognized in their
historical perspective. Both Steeler & KEEL are represented here - Steeler's original 45 single "Cold Day In Hell" is Track 6 on Disc 1, and
KEEL's live version of "The Right To Rock" leads off Disc 3, whose cover, as Sheldon says, features a live shot from 1984 of me at The Roxy with KEEL.
Selling these on the site is an option; it's probably a good idea to have some on hand for the Rock 4Xmas tour also - several of the artists on the
tour are featured in this collection and it would be a good opportunity for fans to get them signed by guys like Terry Ilous from XYZ, Paul Shortino,
me, and more. I'll look into it.
All in all this is a very cool collection, and I'm glad to be a part of it. The companion DVD, whch features videos, live footage, interviews etc will
apparently be released later this year.SexyLeo75 - 6-14-2005 at 03:34 AM

I have received my copy of the box set and it is totally awesome!!!!Sheldon - 6-23-2005 at 07:21 PM
Awesome!!! My box set just came in the mail. Looking though the booklet brings back huge memories of my time on the Sunset Strip. It will be great
to hear these songs on CD. I spent many a night listening to some of these bands play live all over L.A. If it was TUFF at Gazzari's, Black Cherry
at the Roxy, Pretty Boy Floyd at Coconut Teaser or Jailhouse at the Waters Club. I raise my fist proudly to say .... I was part of this era and I
will never let go of it.
I will find out this weekend at Rock Never Stops, what the deal with RAT* is. Live The Rock, Sheldon

I have actually been hearing that Jizzy Pearl is doing a fantastic job with the Ratt stuff. I've heard a couple boots and he sounds great to my ears.Sheldon - 6-23-2005 at 11:12 PM
AceZappa - I've produced a couple of RATT shows with Jizzy on vocals. He does an awesome job. A huge hill to climb when we have all heard those
songs for years with another voice... but Jizzy has it down.
Also if you get a chance to see Warrant with Jamie St. James, its well worth the ticket price. The whole band is energized and tight... Great show.
