Thanks for the props Ace, much appreciated.
A couple of weeks ago, we were on the road, heading home from a gig, and I'd been wanting to play the "Saber Tiger: Project One" album for
C-Wayne...so I dug it out and slammed it into the CD player and we listened to it from top to bottom.
Afterwards, we didn't listen to another second of music all the way back to Nashville - the Saber Tiger album left us sonically exhausted. I remain
extremely proud of this recording, and I enjoy hearing it and doing the mental calisthenics it puts me through. And you're absolutely right, it is a
unique gem in my catalog, and [so far!] I haven't done anything else like it.
Many of my favorite 'Stories About Me' come from this project - two in particular, and one of them is how I got the gig in the first place. I don't
have time to compose those for you right now, but one of these nights real soon I'll grab a six pack and sit here around the virtual compfire and tell
you about that stuff. |
