Making sure this post makes the rounds, some news is too big for just one Forum...
We're proud to announce some talented new additions to the acoustic tour package, which from now on will be billed as the Acoustic Outcasts.
Vocalists Terry Ilous (XYZ) and Kelly Keeling are on board for dates beginning in late July and early August - and we'll be accompanied by renowned
guitarist JK Northrup (King Kobra, XYZ, Billy Thorpe, Paul Shortino).
Terry Ilous earned 2 gold albums with XYZ, and released the hit MTV & radio singles "Inside Out" and "What Keeps Me Loving You", while touring
with Ozzy Osbourne, Ted Nugent, Foreigner, and Alice In Chains. Terry is right at home delivering his music in the 'unplugged' format - he and JK
Northrup did an entire sold-out US tour as an acoustic duo opening for Michael Schenker, and recently headlined the 'Hollywood Rocks' CD release
party. Terry and I became friends during last year's 'Rock 4Xmas' show in New York, and of course we are both featured on the new 'Hollywood Rocks'
collection.
Kelly Keeling is another old friend and an extremely talented vocalist/musician. He started out with a band called Baton Rouge, which also featured
ex-KEEL guitarist Tony Palmucci, then Kelly went on to sing with some of the best guitarists in the business: he sang with Michael Schenker, he was in
Blue Murder with John Sykes, he recently sang with George Lynch, and has written songs for many artists including Dokken.
JK (Jeff) Northrup, in addition to being the lead guitarist in XYZ for the past decade or so, has a very impressive track record on his own, having
played with Billy Thorpe ("Children Of The Sun" in the 80's, recorded several albums with vocalist Paul Shortino, recorded with King Kobra, and many
others.
NOTE: This will not be your everyday type of show, where Terry will sing for 45 minutes, then Kelly will sing for 45 minutes, then we take the stage;
an Acoustic Outcasts concert gives us the opportunity to showcase our hits, favorites, & new material in a unique format: instead of playing
individual sets, the performers will take turns at the mike in different combinations every song or two, alone and also accompanied by the other
artists. For instance, Keel & Wayne will open the show with a couple of songs, then start bring the other guys on stage...at any given time during
the show, Kelly might be playing piano on a KEEL song with me, or I might be singing harmony with Terry, the possibilities are endless. During a 45
minute intermission segment, there will be a meet-and-greet when fans can meet the artists, get autographs, photos, and merchandise, and then the show
climaxes with all of us on stage together at the end of the night for an acoustic rock n roll free-for-all.

Shit--even I'd like to go see this--Kelly Keeling is probably in the top three of my current favorite vocalists, along with Andi Deris and Jorn Lande.
Nice score there, boss!

These guys are all awesome singers. I can't wait for the last half hour of the gig, when we're all singing together the harmonies will be huge. A lot
of guitarists obviously share your views on Kelly Keeling - he's sung with Schenker, Sykes, John Norum, George Lynch - he even did a track with Yngwie
on a Deep Purple tribute CD.
There's a lot of cool 'family tree' stuff with this lineup; as I said, Kelly and I both worked with Yngwie, Kelly & JK both played with King
Kobra, Terry and I are both on the 'Hollywood Rocks' collection, Kelly & Terry both worked with Dokken, Charlie and I drink out of the same Jack
Daniels bottle...
