I almost forgot about this........
Last weekend I went up home (Canton Ohio) to finish up some work with my brother. Afterward we stopped at an aquaintances friends house and guess what
song his band is learning ??!! DIXIE HIGHWAY!!
I have never heard the version that Henry Paul recorded, if he did, but the version they were playing definatly sounded like the IH version!! (just
not as tight 
)
We didnt stay long enough to talk to anyone as we were just dropping something off but it was pretty cool to hear.

The original demo we got from Henry Paul featured a "Dixie Highway" about as different from ours as you could get....think Dire Straits with a cowboy
hat. So, if their version sounded remotely close to ours, that's probably where they heard it.
