i just found out that the man who raised me the first 12 years of my life as his own along with my mom died last december 8th from colon and
pancreatic cancer....3 days after his birthday...he was 58. he had just retired from the NYPD that year...
i had been trying to get a hold of him since late last year, his girlfriend couldn't find my information and she just found it today while going
through some of his papers (she said that today was the first time that she couldgo through his things since he passed away).
he was the one who took me to my first hockey game, the one who got me interested in cartoons and comic books (i am an X-Men junkie for life) the one
who the one who taught me about football and baseball and who helped foster my creativity....
this hit me like a sucker punch.....
raise a toast for him as i shed my tears....
