RK- Marc Ferrari camo guitar

Hi Ron,

I have been a fan of yours and Keel since 84, saw you guys several times including the Keel /Loudness tour when you played at the rainbow music hall here in Denver Co.

In the Spring of 2003 i was incredibly lucky to score Marc's old camoflauge guitar from marc.He had switched the original neck out for a performance neck back in 86-87.He doesnt remember what he did with the original strathead neck.I was curious if you had any idea as to its whereabouts? I dream of owning that guitar since i was 15, so obviously it was incredible to buy it FROM Marc! Anywho, i plan on being a fixture here and look forward to any new keel swag for sale! PM me if you have any clue to the missing neck, i want to reunite it to its body.lol.

Hey, great to have you here. I vividly remember that KEEL/Loudness gig in Denver (first time I ever used oxygen tanks), I was just talking about that gig when K&W recently played in Denver.

Unfortunately that camo neck is long gone. I'm pretty sure I ended up with it in crates full of spare parts and doodahs and had no idea that it would be in demand one day. The stuff I tossed out in the last 20 years would net me a fortune on ebay. Sorry.

Marc had another camo guitar that was stolen from backstage somewhere, I don't remember the town or venue, and to my knowledge that guitar has never surfaced.

It was safe to say that i figure that out not long after buiying the guitar from marc.He had no idea at all. I am putting a san dimas charvel strathead on it so it will look like it did, i just day dream of finding the real thing. And yes, you could make a fortune off of the old stuff, like your leopard Kramer! What happend to that guitar?

And here in Denver, its not uncommon for bands to have oxygen, you wimps.lol. That show at the rainbox was only my second concert and i was stoked to see you guys live. The rainbow was a great place, bryan seems to think there was a bootleg of that show somewhere, id love to have that!

Thanks for answering my questions, this is too cool that you take the time to do this. Someday that neck will show up, i have to belive that.I mean, i scored the guitar of my dreams, so anything is possible.

As far as I know, there is not a bootleg of that Denver show in existence. I probably have the show on tape in my archives - we used to tape every gig - but the bootlegs that ARE in existence did not slip out of my collection.

That's interesting about the Charvel V - I gave it to my stepson as a gift in 97, and haven't spoken to him about it in a long time. The famous Kramer Ron Keel Leopard Skin V is safe in the possesion of my good friend Aaron 'Doc' Fischer, awaiting the possibility of a KEEL Reunon Tour...

It may not be yours, but among charvel collectors, the belief is that there are maybe 4 or 5 hardtails in existance that are legit.The only other v i have seen was owned by Joey Alves from Y&T. his was the same as yours , gibson head and hardtail.I hope i didnt cause any problems with the comment, i just was wondering the history of it and your relationship with charvel back in those days.

I really hope the reunion tour happens.I might be into marc taking out the camo , we'd have to talk about it.He might not even care though. That kramer is bad ass and would definatley add to the show.I've seen lots of different types of loepard prints, yours and Akira Takasaki's are the best IMO.
