Lookie at what I've found!!! I would trade my TA in a heartbeat for this one! This is the concept for either 2008 or 2009.

This concept looks alot like the Camaro Concept...
Trans Ams were always way better than Camaros!;)

I first found the Camaro concept first and figured that if the Camaros were comming back then the Firebird would be too. I'd take a Trans Am over a Camaro anyday! I'm on my 3rd TA and my husband just sold his Firebird.

I have been a TA lover forever. I have actually restored 7 from ground up. Fav was a 74 1/2 455HO that I painted Maxwell House coffee can blue.

Anywho......I seen this pic before. I thought it was a photoshop rendering that someone did after the Camaro concept car was introduced. If this did come to fruition.....KILLER!!!! I think they should stuff the new Vette drive train in it......OHHHHHH YEAAAAA!!!

Still looking for a volume knob with a 12 on it!!

Yeah, I was really sad when they said that the 2002's were gonna be the last year for the Trans Am. I knew it wouldn't be long before they started again. This concept looks like its getting back to being a true muscle car (not that my '01 WS6 doesnt look beefy!)

I did just find the message board that this pic was posted on and there is the big argument as to whether this will become a real thing or if its just wishfull thinking. Some are saying that it is a photoshop and some say it isn't. Either way, this car is freakin HOT!!

I agree with that!! This would be a kickass ride if they did it. My dream car has always been a 1969 Trans Am 455SD. Now that was the sheet!!

I loved KITT!! The body style of that car was sooooooo cool!! I think that is why I am partial to the 92 Firebirds...I sold mine after I bought the TA and my husband just sold his 92 a few days ago. I really miss that car.

I can't wait till I get another firebird, if you look closely at my pic, you can see my red 92 firebird, after that I had a black 94 firebird, if I ever get another one, I think I'll go for an older one like the first gen ones.

KITT was a nice looking car, so was the first shot of that 77 TA in the first Smokey and the Bandit....

James (I think I have an unhealthy obsession with firebirds) :o

I really hate to think that 2002 was the last of the firebirds. I guess I'll have to keep the '01 trans am forever...

KITT was COOL! But you gotta love the old model TAs!
I always wanted a black one w/ no bird and the "Turbo TransAM" written in electirc light blue. And of course it had to have the tinted windows & t-tops!

If those cars do come out - I WANT ONE ! ! !
