I have to say that i digged the steller steeler version, your vocals were not as "outrageous" as they appeared on the lp.

I was kinda bummed out that the live version of ricght to rock was something already released.I was hoping for something more "rare" i guess.You have mentioned her e that you guys recorded yourselves every night, i thought it would be from those tapes.
It seems that the booklet doesnt really let you now the real stats on the songs contained in the set.The warrant song "last action hero" , the booklet says it was from 1985, but that song had to be written for the arnold movie from 1993, the lyrics prove that, as does the production.

I did like the SIN song and there are a few others i never wouldve heard unless i bought the set.

The one thing i got from readin the booklet is that , practically every guy in hollywood was at one time or another, in every band in hollywood!hahaha.

IT reads something like this for those who have yet to buy it:

Rik Fox, who played in so &so, also with whats their name and those guys, briefly played in whatcha call 'em, before leaving to form......... ect.....Too funny!

I did learn some things i didnt know before so that was cool but damn did you guys get around.

I was thinking that even the well known songs on the disc's were demo's.Poison, STRYPER, fater pussycat, and a few others just lent the singles from thier big releases.Demo versions wouldve been cooler.Why didnt stryper put one of thier Roxxs Regime demos instead of to hell with the devil?
These are minor quibles over a very cool box set.I know you didnt have control over the other bands as well, just giving my thoughts on the set.

In choosing the live version of "The Right To Rock", we chose quality over rarity - obviously the same version from "Larger Than Live". And while "LTL" was commercially released (twice, by 2 different labels) the pressings were limited; Gold Mountain manufactured 30,000 units in 1989 which sold out immediately, and the DRock manufactured and sold an additional 10,000 in 1998 - so there are only 40,000 real copies of that disc in existence, certainly much rarer than the previousd 3 KEEL albums.

It's true I have mountains of KEEL live recordings - but all are on cassette, for the band to use after the gigs to critique ourselves or to bask in our glory (sometimes I just put the crowd noise from Madison Square Garden on 'loop').

I have often intended on going through these tapes, picking the best stuff, transferring it to digital format, processing/EQing/mastering, and seeing what I come up with. I've just been too busy with all of my projects to take the time off neccesary to accomplish this. Hopefully someday.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Hollywood Rocks collection, it's a cool piece of music history and I'm proud to have been represented well on it. For the record, I was only in 3 'Hollywood' bands: Steeler, KEEL, and Fair Game...

Yeah , it is a cool collection.I understand the quality over rarity.Sometimes its better that way.I do have both version of LTL, but with only 40k it is rare enough,lol.

See, but there were how many guys and girls that went through those bands you started, that went off to play in a dozen other bands.I was told by Greg Chaison that it was the norm back then, because everyone wanted to make it badly.The more bands you were in, the bettter your chances were of "making" it.

Now if you released any of the rare live tapes, id be all over that.I have seen you play a few times, and on bootleg videos.I would say you were a great live band .Very consistent, and fun to watch as well.All that work listening to those tapes paid off for sure.

Like i said, i realy dig the fact that any of the four cd's were released.Im glad you guys were on there because you guys were a big part of that scene.Thanks Ron !You've got it alright!
