Actually, the "Dokken" show is really Ron's Acoustic Outcasts tour.....however this leg will feature the Donster as well as the other guys from the earlier tour--Kelly Keeling, Terry Illous, RK, Charlie Wayne, and Jeff Northrup.

Unfortunately, for that show only they'll have to make do without Ron because he'll be in Columbus, OH (as will I) with IronHorse for a special benefit for Karen Hahn (see other posts).

Late post here, but I went to see the Krokus show. I tell you it was more shock factor than anything. It is like seeing an ex-love that you haven't seen in over 20 years, asking yourself what the Hell? Is this real? The place was packed. The crowd was into it. Marc Storace sounded the same as he did before, and the band was jamming hard. They played Screaming in the Night, did their cover of the Guess Who's "American woman", and encored with Midnight Maniac...but wait - they didn't play Headhunter - instead they destroyed their drumset, knocked over their microphone stands & walked off the stage, (How lame was that?) The crowd, stage hands & everyone else, didn't know what happened. They never came back out & the place emptied out. I did however get my very first drumstick. It landed on my foot & me, and two other guys went for it...but I had the middle...It was mine...LOL ...

Final thought: Having seen Krokus three times & have listened to headhunter more times than I can count, I felt as if their show was an opening act for a bigger name band. Def Leppard, Scorpions, Y&T, Keel, Quiet Riot, Great White...It didn't feel complete, maybe because they ended the way they did or just because they are and really never were a headlining act.

Anyone else had a chance to see them?

Since John was bought out, Penny Road has been known for it's issues regarding keeping good soundmen. Perhaps Krokus crossed paths with one of the less-than-stellar ones and didn't like it.

During "Screaming in the night", three songs into the set, Marcs Microphone failed, luckily there was a spare on the floor. Storace held up the dead mike & dropped it. The rest of the show went pretty good. The best show I've seen EVER at Penny road was Revelations - A KICK ASS Iron Maiden tribute band:::;)

Durties Nellies seems like the best place right now. Warrant, with Jamie St. James, just played there a few months back.

I heard Revelations sucked.....:D

Yes, I visited the new Durty Nellies right after it opened last year. It kicks ass--great venue. Probably the best ever put out in the suburbs.
