When we wrote the very first IronHorse press release and built the initial IH web site in early 2000, I needed a cool little phrase with which to wrap our our marketing pitch...I didn't have to think about it for long - the words "Let's Ride" popped into my head and there it was.

When it came time to record a 2nd IronHorse album, I wanted to call it "Bring It On" before I even wrote the title track. The phrase "Bring It On" just seemed to embody the IronHorse philosophy of accepting all challenges. (I had no idea it was already the title of a silly cheerleading movie).

In the past 5 years, it seems these two phrases are popping up everywhere - I just heard a commercial for "Geiko Motorcycle Insurance - Let's Ride!". I love the scene in "Gone In 60 Seconds" where Nicholas Cage says "Let's Ride". Autozone's recent marketing campaign was built around the phrase "Bring It On".

There are lots more, but I won't spoil it - I'm wondering how many examples of these 2 phrases YOU can find in our popular media and culture, and hopefully you'll post them on this thread.

Either my choice of slogans is having a profound ripple effect in modern marketing, or I have my finger firmly on the pulse of American culture......

I think its a little of both!!! But you already know that HUH! Coming home to IRONHORSE COUNTRY any time soon? I think its about that time. We have been waiting patiently.

I so agree with you Cinnanne!! I believe that Ronnie definitely has a little bit of both!! But of course we all know that he is a very intelligent man when it comes to the music industry!!

My kids brought to my attention once, but I havent seen it, that in the movie Hocus Pocus Bette Midler says *Lets Ride* in one scene as they are mounting their broom sticks....LOL!!

I have also noticed that there is a College football comentator that loves the phrase *Bring it on*. I cant remember his name but he has worked a couple OSU games.

Ja Rule has a song called "Let's Ride" and Pat Robertson has a book called "Bring It On"

I heard it on the Golden Globe Awards...And at least 3 times on American Idol. Its everywhere. But I like my jingle the best.

As I recall.....Canibus also has a song called lets ride and in the lyrics is also the phrase *no pain no gain*.......go figure.

I think I pretty much bought all of them(we may have left a couple but not many). One of them is on my back car window. Troy saw it at Big George's at the last Keel and Wayne show!!
