RON I JUST WANTED TO SAY IT WAS GREAT MEETING YOU IN LA GRANGE ! YOU AND CHARLIE ROCK ! I WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED THRU THE END OF THE SHOW BUT WE HAD A BIT OF A DRIVE TO GET BACK. THE VIDEO YOU LET ME MAKE FOR MY DAD TURNED OUT AWESOME I THOUGHT AND I THINK HE IS GOING TO LOVE IT ! Hey LittleJohn, it was good to meet you - I spoke to your father, he called the venue we were playing out at Buckeye Lake last Sunday and we got to chew the fat a little bit. I'd sure like to share a ride and a campfire and a few songs with that guy, maybe someday we'll be able to do that.

For those of you who read this who don't know the inside scoop: LittleJohn's father, John Abernathy, is a songwriter from out west who writes traditional-style cowboy songs. I recently had the pleasure of cutting one of these songs in the studio, a very personal tune written in honor of John's brother in his passing, called "Goodbye Cowboy".

I'm just glad that John Sr. was happy with my work on the track, it was a challenge and an honor. And LittleJohn, if you're ever passing through TN let me know, and we'll grab a 99 cent cheesburger at McDonald's!!
