Just an update...

Hi, all...
Just thought I'd update everyone on Mark's condition. All is well... :)
He had a late surgery yesterday, 5:30. He was grumpy 'cause he wasn't able to smoke, drink a diet pepsi, or eat. Exactly in that order! As soon as we were on our way home he was asking me to stop and get him cigarettes and soda. I'd have to say that means he's fine. :P
Anyway, he's in a cast for the next 6 weeks minimum and will see the doctor on the 9th for follow up.
In the mean time, I'll try to keep everyone updated and I'll be sure to update you again on the 9th.
It's gonna be a long 12 weeks, so, for those of you who have our number, feel free to give him a call...he'll be here!! ;)

Joy

Iwant to be a part of it!!

Glad to hear the surgery went well and recovery has begun....for the record, and for all of our non-Ohio fans, Mark did not let his injury stop him from attending and working all 3 recent IH OH gigs, and we appreciate it.

Hey bro, try not to go too stir-crazy and don't try to get up and run around before the time is right. I would give anything to be on couch duty for a month and a half...

Howdy all......thanx again for all the well wishes. Once again my email box exploded...LOL!! Now I know how Ronnie feels.

Anywho........so far all is well. First couple days after surgery was a bitch. Lots of pain and I really didnt want to give in to the medication but after no sleep I had to give in. Hobbling around on crutches is a real pain in the butt and I have gained a new respect for all those that have to live their lives this way. Its not easy. I have been getting around a little and to go anywhere out of the house I have to be chaufered.......I hate not being able to just GO when I wanna.

The cast is also big hinderence. They cast my foot in a way that it is VERY uncomfotable. Try this.....sit on a hard chair and stretch your leg out straight and allow your heel only to be on the floor......now while keeping your leg in place....drop your foot flat on the floor. At the same time keep your foot and leg in perfectly straight in line with each other. Now turn your foot only at a slight angle to the side as to raise the inside of your sole about 3 inches from the floor. That is how they cast me. Fun HUH??!!

Anywho.....I have no choice but to do this to be able to walk right again. To my brother Ronnie......no thanx needed bro.......you know Joy and I both will do whatever it takes......we believe!! ;)

Thanx to all again......we will see yall soon!!

Still looking for a volume knob with a 12 on it!!
