It's been a week now, and many of us are in shock over this, but our good friend & brother Chris (CT) Trujillo has suffered a stroke and has begun the long hard road toward what we hope will be a full recovery.

Chris, and his wonderful wife Heidi and their children, are like family to me, Geno, and many others in this close circle - and I know that everyone will join me in sending our thoughts, love, and prayers to them during this difficult time.

Last word about CT was he was being moved to a rehabilitation unit and the outlook is very promising. I talked to Heidi in the last few days and she is one hell of a strong person. As is Chris.

Some of you may have met CT and Heidi as Joy and I coaxed them into coming to Ohio, from Arizona, for a couple of important IH shows in the past. In fact CT blames me for his first airplane ride ever...LMAO!!

Everyone send out prayers and well wishes for our freinds, family, and message board members......CT and Heidi.....AKA...KEELFRKS!!

Thanks Ron for posting this I was going to but I just could not put it into words to even start a post without totally breaking down . As you,Geno,and Mark know from our phone conversations I was a total mess upon hearing the news of our Bro and trying to get updates from Heidi and supporting her and keeping you guys informed was a HUGE ordeal. I was fortunate enough to have been in the band when CT made his journey to Ohio. I still warmly remember the reception I got from him, even though I was the "new guy". Here's hoping for a swift and full recovery.

I talked with Heidi late last night(Wednesday evening) and she said that CT is doing quite well so far in his recovery and the tone in her voice was very reassuring!!!!

That's sounding like good news. I know that these days if they catch it quick they can do miraculous things with stroke sufferer's. Still sending positive thoughts that way, even though I don't know him personally.

My surgery is next Wednesday to remove the lump and find out if it is cancer or not. Troy thanks for asking but do not worry about me because CT and his family are more important right now and they still need all the love and support they can get at this crucial time!!---CJW

Just received a phone call from CT himself and he sounds DAMN GOOD!!! The spirit,fight,optimism,and all around good nature is back in his voice!!

I too spoke to CT this evening, and he sounded - well, DAMN GOOD! It was very encouraging and uplifting, and made my day. Rock on KEELFRK!!!!!!

I talked to CT this weekend and have no doubt that he will soon be 100%. Karie and the girls send there love, and It was great to hear from you.

Thank you guys so much for putting out the positive thoughts and prayers. Chris is doing much better and is in his 2 nd week of agressive rehab. He is working very hard to get back to himself. Our friends mean so much to us and I wouldn't have gotten through this without them. I appreciate you all so much. I appreciate all the calls of concern not just for Chris, but for me as well. Thank you guys!! Keep him in your prayers.

Wicks, thank you for taking care of things for me there in Ohio. You are a great friend. I am thinking of you and I am sure that things are going to go your way on Wednesday. I haven't mentioned anything to Chris. He isn't ready for stress. But, you know he is there for you as you are for him.

Heidi, when CT called me last Friday the first thing out of his mouth was "How are you!!??" which kinda shocked me after all he was going thru. I knew that he did not know about my situation and I did not want to add any stress on him but he kept saying "Are you sure you are OK!!??" Everyone knows that I can usually cover my feelings and emotions especially when it is concerning others well being. I was doing computer/button work with Al when CT called. I said to Al after I hung up "Did I say something out of context,tone in my voice,anything??" Al said not at all but he was actually a little afraid I was going to tell CT what was up but he also knows I worry about everyone but myself. Anyhow, continued success and recovery to The Trujillo's!! I have to be at the hospital at 6:00AM (Let The Fun Begin HA!HA!HA!HA!) I will keep you posted!!

It sounds like things are progressing well for CT, and I'm so happy to hear that. Working in the medical environment, I know exactly what you're going through. Stay focused on your recovery. It will happen!

I just spoke to Wicks - he gave me all the good news about his successful surgery this past week, about the kick ass Highway 70 show at Big George's, how he & George & Geno & Gaetano spoke to CT on the phone that night and he sounded great and he's expected to make a complete or near-complete recovery, how Karen Hahn was doing great, and I'm just happy and thankful that all these special people who have had a rough time medically are doing so well.
