Old Friends
One of the great benefits of the recent STEELER Anthology has been the opportunity to renew old friendships with the members of the band. I had a
great conversation last week with drummer Mark Edwards...after finding some major label success with his band Lion, Mark was critically injured in a
motorcycle accident and could no longer play drums. He has since gone on to be a major player in the corporate world, orchestrating major business
investments and takeovers worldwide - he sent me some very impressive articles from the New York Times and Wall Street Journal in which he was the
featured player, he's rolling in dough and living on his ranch in Texas and doing quite well for himself.
I also had a wonderful talk with original Steeler guitarist Michael Dunigan, who started the band with me in 1981...Michael is still playing, doing
great, and I will be hanging with him next week in Vegas (he lives there) when I open for Y&T on March 31, I'm looking forward to seeing him again
after all these years.
I will try to get these guys to come on here and post a hello to the fans, they are happy about the anthology and that some of our music is being
appreciated and enjoyed after all these years.

That's cool info. I didn't know that about Mark Edwards. I always dug Lion.

I have a bootleg of Hurricane in Japan, and for the encore, they brought out Jerry Best and Mark Edwards. The vid is from 1990 and it was right after
his accident. They played power love, i cant remember what mark did for the song.I'll have to watch it tonight.
Thanks Ron for the update.I always like to hear success stories!
