This is great news! I became jealous when I found out that you were going to open for Y&T on the 20th...and I'll be seeing Y&T in Cleveland on
the 22nd. But, I don't live that far from Heath so I'm hoping I can make it down for that one! Hope to see you there...

Very cool...we made every attempt to get on the Cleveland show - Y&T has certainly gone to bat for me but for some reason the venue didn't bite.
The Heath show will be great - my first Ohio gig of 2006, and I will be doing a couple of hours worth of music. Hope to see you there.

That's too bad the Beachland didn't work things out. The band that they had as the opener was Aftershok, which I found out is the current version of
Shok Paris from the 80's. They were pretty good, that guitar player was smokin', but it wasn't Keel, you know?!?!?!?
I will be making every effort to be in Heath and I'm completely stoked to hear that you're doing a couple hours of music. If you play Calm Before The
Storm, I'll be most appreciative. And I would love to know the story on how you and Jimmy Bain got together to write it. Jimmy is one of my favorite
bass players and is one of the main influences on my style.
Here's to Heath!

Awesome Metal Man! It will be good to see you guys, and we'll have a little early anniversary toast for you and Mary.
This just in: Opening act for BIG GEORGE'S on Saturday (Zeus) canceled, so I will be doing two shows - one at 4:00, and one at 9:30. I have also been
enlisted to be the guest emcee for this event, introduce the other bands, run the auction, and basically serve as master of ceremonies. Anything for
the cause.

ROAD REPORT - RK/OH 08-4&5-06
As always, I have to budget a day on either side of an Ohio trip to recuperate...
It was awesome seeing so many of my good friends in OH this past weekend, I want to thank everyone for the love & support and good times. There
were a few of you MIA...you know who you are...
It was my first visit there all year, and the first post-IronHorse gigs. It was important for me to reconnect with the friends and fans there that
have been so loyal to me & IH these past six years, and I think we accomplished that. From the moment my plane landed I was hit with IH drama and
an endless stream of commentary regarding the previous week's IronHorse shows, and my recent departure from the band. For the most part, I took the
high road and just had fun with it, but it's clear that the wounds are still fresh and will take some time to heal.
The best thing about the Friday gig in Heath were the People. Magictouch, Metlqueen, my posse, the folks from 'Rhythm Art & Groove' magazine, and
a number of others in attendance really helped me make the best of a bad situation - a filthy little hole in the wall bar with no stage monitors and
one ugly light shining down on the stage...I enjoyed the gig, although I never settled into a comfort zone, and I thank those of you that came out.
Big George's, on the other hand, was an absolute blast - getting to work with my LoneWolf Sound crew (Jimmy & Karen you guys are the BEST);
getting to open the festivities on stage with my Brother Of The Southland THE Mr. Charlie Tatman...that was awesome.
My 9:30 solo show felt great, there was a lotta love in the house and I appreciate it. I tried to throw in an extra dose of IronHorse, and the usual
KEEL etc...even some Brooks & Dunn...and then the capper: Original IronHorse guitarist Robert Marcello joining me onstage for the climax,
performing "Tears Of Fire", "Here Today Gone Tomorrow", and "Until We Fall In Love Again". Cool all the way around.
I can't thank my People enough for the warm welcome, thanks to my Plain City Posse Scott Redding and the boys, and special thanks to Big George for
all the friendship, hospitality, and for all the fine food and drink over the weekend. Till next time...

Another fine weekend of Keel. Just wanted to post and let everyone know if you missed out on the shows this weekend you truely missed something
special. Ron thanks again for making us feel so welcome it was great to see you again. Dispite the shabby surroundings on Friday night you never
sounded better. I kinda said the place reminded me of a junk yard shack. The shows at big George's were pure magic especially seeing my 2 favorite
guys (Ron Keel and Robert Marcello) back on stage together again. It literally brought tears to my eyes. I get very emotional when I've had to much to
drink. I'm hoping to be able to catch at least one of your Pittsburgh shows even
if I have to make the road trip without Metalman! See Ya soon.

I just want to thank everyone who attended this great event, & gave so
unselfishly,I wish there were more people like you! A special thanks to all
the bands for donating there time when they didn't have to!
To:Jimmy & Karen Hahn, Lonewolf Sound is the best in the business, & we
are lucky to have you as our sound people & our family!
My brother Charlie Tatman, you always deliver the goods & are one the
coolest people it has been my pleasure to know!
Last but not least!
Mr. RON KEEL YOU ROCKED THE HOUSE BROTHER!
It wouldn't have been the success it was without your presence!
From start to finish you were a professional class act!
From hosting the event to playing the first set with Charlie T. because the
opening act cancelled was a life saver bro! Also, The 9:30 set you did had
the crowd screaming their lungs out! It was a special moment when you &
Robert Marcello closed out your set the way you did! I feel sorry for anyone
that missed that performance!(Thanks Robert for being there!)
I know you are a busy guy these days! But,for you to fly in from Vegas for
FREE to help out with the benefit says a lot about the type of person you
are, & you are welcome at my place anytime bro!
THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED OUT!!
George

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone...it makes me proud to be a part of this family of folks from Ohio and beyond who have taken me into their
lives.
Hey Mark - I was not singling you out, bro - I knew that you and Joy were dealing with your daughter Leslyn's eye condition and I'm hoping that
everything turns out fine for her. No...I was talking about TROY & KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
