CMG Recording Artist Charlie Tatman Records "You Can Have What's Left Of Me"

One of the greatest honors a songwriter can have is when another artist records their material. I am extremely proud that someone I love & respect - CMG Recording Artist Charlie Tatman - has chosen to include my song "You Can Have What's Left Of Me" on his upcoming debut CMG CD.

Charlie & I have performed together throughout Ohio on many occasions, and I am very happy for him securing this Nashville-based recording contract and wish him great success with this release and his upcoming tour.

"You Can Have What's Left Of Me", which I consider one of the best songs I've ever created, previously appeared on the self-titled IronHorse album, and my solo acoustic version can be found on my latest CD "Alone At Last".

I can't wait to hear this Charlie Tatman CD, featuring great production, musicians, and Charlie's voice and soul. Charlie has promised to let us know the release date as soon as it's confirmed.

Thanks for the words Ron! You Can Have What's Left of Me is a great song! The whole CD sounds great and we haven't done the final mix yet. We are shooting for a release party sometime early in 2007 for Central Ohio and another later in Nashville. Keep your eye on www.CharlieTatman.com for more info.
Just wanted to say thanks to Ronnie for all his advise and help as well as writing a great tune! We need to get together, drink a few, pick a few, and raise some hell! See ya!

I know I’ve got a lot of catching up to do here on the Forums…I’m on Day 18 of a long hard stretch, and last weekend’s gigs in Vegas were particularly taxing (Saturday we got an encore at 3 am!)…

I know I have to report on the past couple weeks’ gigs and visits from special friends like Dennis “Metal Man” Marquette, his wonderful wife Mary “Pita” Marquette, and Kathy “kleo” Leogrande & the Brooks & Dunn fans…. and I will get to that… I’m about as beat up and tired as I’ve ever been, and just to touch the keyboard on my laptop is killing the fingers on my left hand. But…

After the long nights at Sam’s Town in Vegas, I got back to Laughlin and after my show last night and was ready to collapse. But a couple days ago, I received a CD in the mail, and wanted to give it a listen before passing out – the new CD from Charlie Tatman, “Free & Easy”.

I admit I cheated – I went straight to Charlie’s version of my song “You Can Have What’s Left Of Me” – and I was absolutely floored. As a songwriter, it is an incredible thrill to have another artist cut one of your tunes – but to have someone you love and respect (that’s how I feel about Charlie T) cut one of the most special songs you’ve ever written (that’s how I feel about “You Can Have What’s Left Of Me”) fills me with such emotion that I just have to talk about it.

Upon first listen, there were tears in my eyes. Charlie, your heart and soul shine through in every word and phrase, and I couldn’t be prouder. And now after listening to the whole CD, I can assure everyone that fans of real Southern Country Rock are in for one hell of a ride with this disc. This music lives, it breathes, and it is all from the heart.

Excuse me now while I hit the bed and spin this CD one more time…

I got the new CD from Charlie yesterday. What a great CD! I hope everyone will go out and buy a copy of it. I know how much time and effort was involved in all aspects of this project(not to mention the headaches) that Charlie endured and he has come up big! My friend you have done a wonderful job on this and my family and I look forward to your next trip here! See you soon!

I got my copy also - THANKS CHARLIE for all the love/props/mentions in/on the CD packaging (the graphics and artwork are very cool, by the way), and most of all for recording my song and doing such a wonderful job with it.

This disc hasn't left the player in my truck - the kind of album we grew up listening to, powerful stuff straight from the heart, fun but true, free & easy. Love it. I think "Gypsy" may be my favorite but I love 'em all.

Highly recommended. EVERYBODY BUY TWO COPIES NOW.
